Introduction

The practical life demands a person to be highly influential and possesses extraordinary skills and abilities in order to be successful in his or her career. During my struggle process to become an effective manager and a successful corporate person I have gone through several experiences that have influenced me to acquire a specific set of abilities that would lead me towards the success and achievement process. The managerial position is the one that demands a high motivation for career development. For this reason, I frequently evaluate my skills, knowledge and abilities and compare and contrast them with my office environment. I believe in continuous learning process. I also believe that no person whether he or she is on a managerial level is perfect in terms of abilities, skills and knowledge management. People do acquire several things from the environment based upon their position in their work environment in order to develop and enhance their career. This realization has influenced me to analyze my own personal strengths and weaknesses which could make an effective manager or leader in my organization. Since, the course of the module has provided me a high level of motivation and understanding to analyze my existing skills and learn new skills and abilities for developing my career. Therefore, I have thoroughly reviewed and evaluated my personality. I have fund that managing people is an important skill on which I invested only a little time and consideration. For this reason, I have set an objective to develop my people management skills in order to enhance and develop my career in the competitive corporate world. Effective people management skills are a way to influence the team members to achieve desired outcomes for the organization.
