The key to talent management is the leadership which undertakes the activities which are managing creative employees, providing them platform to perform and further developing their skills in an effective and efficient manner. The approach towards leading difficult but talented employees is an altogether a challenging task for the leaders in the organizations. The maximum value of the organization is derived from talented employees. This paper aims at understanding the management issue of managing difficult but talented employees through a case study of an US multinational corporation's subsidiaries in Germany and Ireland. Moreover, the analysis of this case study is done by applying the concept learned from articles and the recommendation is given to the organization.

The people dynamics of the organizations are facing constant change in this era and management must align the strategic plans accordingly. Human resource is considered to be one of the most superior assets of an organization. An employee can be very talented, but yet difficult to manage. The term difficult here means the talented employees are challenge for the organization because these employees have developed their own visions to complete tasks and they cannot remain stagnant on the same job for a longer period of time. The application of the conformist approach on these difficult but talented employees can make them dysfunctional because these employees want to work on challenging projects and tasks. Doing similar tasks daily can demotivate them from the work and hinder their creativity by not letting them the access to work according to their way. These employees require leaders who are effective, leaders the employees can model, and leaders who are worth following, supporting and sharing their organization's vision (Caul & Harvey, 2012, p.25).
