Introduction

This paper intends to discuss the Case Study of Zara. Zara is amongst one of the most famous fashion retailers. After analyzing the case study of Zara, this paper will provide a brief overview about the organizational, technological and even managerial critical success factors that have contributed to the effectiveness and success of Zara. Once, the analysis of Zara fashion retailer will be completed; several recommendations to the owner of a SME independent retail business operating on the high street will be provided in order to help them to make a decision about their future directions and underlying expansions related to the business activities. Various management concepts will be utilized to complete this assignment. Organizational structure and design, imperatives of technology within global business organizations, critical business information systems, changes in target markets altering strategic management choices and the entrepreneurial manager are the few important concepts of management being applied within this particular paper. The high street store chosen to be discusses in comparison with the fashion retailer store Zara is Electronic retailer Maplin. The purpose of this paper is to make the readers aware about the significance of critical success factors and managing those critical success factors effectively to attain success within the businesses.

Analysis of Zara

Zara is essentially one of the most important fashion retailers operating throughout the world. Originating from the ship building town of Spain; the Zara has become and achieved success within no span of time. The success rate of Zara could be only imagined by business even operating from a long period of time. The underlying success of Zara has made the owner of the brand the world's richest fashion executive. Also, the success of Zara has made it able to get engaged within the world's most rapid expansion. The stores of Zara are still opening throughout the world. Unlike other business manufacturers, Zara do not like to outsource anything. It manufactures everything in house. The success of Zara also relies over its extremely well coordinated technological advancement and exceptional manufacturing and logistics services. There are different critical factors which essentially relate to the success of Zara; however, in my opinion, the most critical success factor of Zara is to provide its customers with most unique and innovative clothes at an affordable price (Kevan, 2012 Pp. 1-2).

The moderate pricing strategy of Zara has made it able to stand against its competition in a manner in which is highly appreciable. Also, the implementation of most rapidly advanced technological systems throughout the stores of Zara makes it able to attain timely knowledge about the tastes and demands of customers. Other fashion retailers tend to take a time of few months to produce and market the products for upcoming seasons; whereas Zara tends to take few weeks to bring in the clothes into its stores which are demanded by its customers.
