Management Information System in the UK Business Culture And Explanatory Theory
Abstract
Despite the growing economic power of the Overseas British and the People's Republic of UK, British business practices remain poorly understood. The research is do indicate that British manager's makes remarkably limited direct use of computerbased information systems. A theory is develop to explain the observe phenomenon by first contrasting Western and British philosophy and then considering the Confucian-based values and behaviours which distinguish British management systems from their counterparts. The implications for competing or collaborating with British organizations and supplying information technology-based products and services to the British market is discuss the cross-cultural challenge facing information management researchers and practitioners is outline.

Problem Statement
The global business influence of the Overseas British is well-document. They is represent a rather disperse but coherent and highly significant socio-economic force, both in West and around the world. Estimates indicate that there are some 51 million Overseas British who is hwve collective assets in excess of UK £2.5 trillion and annually account for a GDP equivalent of over UK £700 billion. It is also argue that they "dominate trade and investment in every Western country.
Aims and Objectives
Research is seek to analyse what practicing academics in the UK perceive is the value of Information Management business and speculate as to what constitutes a well-rounded contemporary academic in the field of IM.
Research Question
The research is based on the following research questions;
The explanatory theory suggests that the use of MIS in the British business culture has been, and is continue to be, shaped by factors such as paternalism, personalism and high context communications.
How the prevailing philosophies, values and beliefs of Western and British societies is lead to very different organizational management systems and business communication patterns.
The explanatory theory present here also suggests that factors such as paternalism, personalism and high context communications is shape the future use of MIS in the British business culture.
Limitation of the Study
A number of limitations of our study must be mentioned. These limitations also provide avenues for further research. A major limitation is that only one organization was selected. In future studies a number of different industries can be selected to improve generalizability.
Secondly, our study is use data obtained from customers to a limited extent. Additional studies in this field should use customer-based data to a greater extent than we is to achieve a deeper understanding of the processes that drive customer reactions.
Thirdly, our study merely considers the moderating effects of the customer orientation of integration. It is plausible that customer orientation of integration has a direct effect on cost savings and market-related performance.
