Due to the increase in death rate and probabilities of more diseases spreading out, increased heath care rates have become an important issue that is yet to be resolved. Out of approximately 257.8 million living in the U.S are need desperate need for cost effective and easily accessible health care facilities. It is quite noticeable that if the trends of health care costs are studied, they are moving towards an increase, thus creating rates that are not affordable by most of the general public. There are many factors that have led to an increase in the cost of health care and have deprived many people from attaining these services. To cater these growing problems many solutions have been proposed out of which one is the managed care system of health care.

The term managed care is usually used in the United States and mainly refers to the reduction of health care costs, resulting in more affordable rates. These techniques lay an important role in the improvement and the cost reduction of the health care facilities. The increasing cost of the managed care is causing a lot of problems for the people of the United States. They are the ones who have to bear the increasing costs as there a number of employers who do not provide employees with the proper healthcare coverage. They have to spend money from their pockets which means that they have to reduce other expenses (McKay, 2008).
