Introduction

Gun control is a major symptom of citizen concerns regarding safety conditions, recorded in the United States. The concerns occurred due to the gun control acquiring the latest figures from the National Arms Register. In 2009, the regulation of 61,305 legal guns of different calibers was observed in the United States. This represents a 27% higher rate than the acquisitions of guns in the previous year. Advocates of gun control believe that the possession and sale of firearms should be regulated by the government, so as to ensure that the legislations representing gun control may not support the criminals. Most advocates also believe that certain kinds of guns, such as assault weapons, should be prohibited altogether. Advocates say that their goal is the reduction of rampant gun violence in America through the regulation not the abolition of guns and those recreational hunters who use rifles are not their target.

The purpose of this paper is to enlighten and explore the gun control and how it violates the second amendment.
