Introduction

Human resource management is regarded as the heart and blood of the organization. Every company faces issues regarded human resource; those who value talented human resource are the winners in contemporary society. This assignment is based on a case which is associated with human resource management. Bolton wanderers a highly reputable club has employees a team of sports professional, a nutritionist and four physiotherapist. The sport coaches and physiotherapist all are male, whereas the nutrient is female. In this case, the female coach has recently raised a grievance on low salary scale. She claimed that, she is paid low salary as compare to male members of the team. The female nutritionist claims that she has been subject to an unequal pay claim. This paper is based on giving recommendations to the human resources management of Bolton Wandered in order to overcome this issue. The recommendations will be given in the reflection of procedural and legal issues.

Pay-Sexual discrimination at workplace

According to quality act (2010), an employer cannot do injustice in workplace on the bases of gender discrimination. Every employee of the organization has to be given equal status according to the act. Gender discrimination law covers all the employee male and female of all types of organizations in United States. The law includes recruitment, pay and benefits, redundancy, training and dismissals (www.direct.gov.uk).

Equal pay

The concept of equal pay is regarded as an integral responsibility of Human resource management. The pay roll and remuneration plan of an employee is developed by HR specialist. It is his/her responsibility to prepare plan in such artistic manner that it will be free of all discriminations. In case of Bolton, Human resource management has not considered wages discrimination act (2010) under consideration.

It has been stated in the sex discrimination, that every employee of the organization (Male & female) has to be treated equally. The terms and conditions for every employee who are performing same level of work should be treated equally. For example, if two employee one male and one female are assigned task for content writing. Both the employees are assigned to prepare 10 quality pages (same job description, should be offered same salary and remuneration. If, one employee is offered more salary and remuneration than it will be regarded as inequality. This act of an organization is regarded as unethical. Exceptions are always there; in this case the exception component will exist only when there lay a difference in terms of expertise and productivity (Knights & Richards, 2003, pp1).

If, I relate this case with Bolton where the female nutrient claims that she is paid less salary as compared to male team members. In this scenario, the female coach is fighting for her right because Bolton has left a room of error, because they are paying the female coach less as compare to male coaches.
