In views of considering towards appointment of new CEO from outside sources rather than promotion within the company have both good and bad effects. Largely, in consideration of implementing strategic changes, promoting someone from internal is better than hiring from outside for long-term but in essence of bringing maximum performance through additional and required skills for the position which is lacking internally. There are varying differences in performances of each CEO and different criteria to weigh one over other.

Success and survival of organizations is provided by the quality of the workforce. Therefore, organizations should concentrate primarily on identifying and attracting the most competitive candidates, a problem that can be solved in the process of hiring a professional.
