EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The role of health information system is to assists in providing a comprehensive hospital administration system database solution so that the operations and practices of the medical services can be managed effectively, and patients in the healthcare facilities can be dealt efficiently. Furthermore, an effective health information system can play an important role in identifying the issues pertaining to healthcare service delivery. The nature and quality of a nation's health care system is directly related to its economic, industrial, political, and technological developments of that country. Although traditional medicine continues to play a significant role in Nigerian society, efforts are under way to enhance health care delivery that will encourage access to modern medicine, to facilitate the nation in a better way. Everywhere in the world, economic barriers are often one of several factors that affect access to medical care in the developing countries. In this study, issues with analysis and design of health information system in developing countries will be discussed.
