Nike is a well known company for the apparel, sports equipment and accessories worldwide, the company was founded in 1964 in the United States and now the company has expanded world-wide. Nike products are sold in over 45 countries and are well distinguished over the globe for the diversity of products of clothing etc is rendered to customers.
The company has developed tremendously over the years by supplying services round the world and having a good scheme in growth. Nike has expanded its market portions substantially by issuing new products and increasing their output by having manufacturers round the world.
They have effectively made use of marketing to origin perception of the products they sell. Their large-scale pattern of marketing is the newspapers field. There are habitually adverts encouraging Nike products by utilising celebrities endorsing the merchandise in the adverts, this is one of numerous modes they have utilised to construct their status in the market and to encourage their products and to origin perception to the consumers.

Research is important to gain valuable information; this can be done by variety of ways. Primary research is when you have done research yourself to obtain the information you require. Secondary research is when you look at other peoples research and information that they have found , this is when you use things such as journals and books which is useful if need of past records or information that occurred. Tertiary research is information gathered from primary and secondary research for example dictionaries and encyclopaedias.
The research that will be carried out will look at quantitative methods; these are best used for looking at numbers and statistics. Qualitative data will also be used, this can help to understand individuals thoughts and opinions; it will help identify which criteria's are useful in the business.
There are many ways that research can be done to try and gather as much valuable and trustworthy information as possible. Qualitative data will be collected from past history by looking at secondary research; this will help me to obtain information on the company and will look into a variety of sources to help me with my chosen topics. Quantitative data will be collected on Nike to show statistics of how the company is performing and this will show detailed information on the performance of the company.
