The state of Israel has since centuries been a subject of world attention and focus. The history of Israel is eventful and a study of Judaism will reveal the role of Israel in the history of the world. The decades old Israel-Palestine conflict is the reason for the focus of attention of the world towards this state. There has been a lot of peace processes between Israel and neighboring countries but to no avail. The states have continued to live in this state since decades despite all the efforts to bring peace. There are many issues surrounding this conflict which hinder the peace process.

Since its independence, the state of Israel has been in conflict with Palestine. If we look at the history of Israel since then, we find a great deal of conflicts, issues and controversies that have erupted from time to time. Many peace initiatives have been taken time and again with the interruption of various world leaders and United Nations but none has produced any significant difference in the present scenario.
Israel has long been claiming that achieving peace with its Arab neighbors is its priority and because of this it has always tried to make diplomatic endeavors. On the other hand, the Arab world does not recognize these steps as true and sincere and have blamed them of hypocrisy. Things have continued to be that way since the time it came into existence. The day when UN general Assembly passed a resolution for the partition of the Arab land for the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine marked the inception of a series long protest followed by violence and killings of people since then. The areas are in a state of war with both the sides trying to bring material as well as life loss of people belonging to each side. Homes are demolished, people are killed violently, and one can see nothing else than destruction. Everyday there are nearly about half a dozen deaths reported with nothing to gain from it (www.onislam.net).
