Is a Socialist Revolution Possible in the United States?

Introduction

The question posed in the essay is a debatable one. I think socialist revolution is possibly in the United States. To think that a socialist revolution is not possible in the United States we must not only believe that the ruling families of the imperialist world and their economic wizards have found a way to 'manage' capitalism. But we must also ignore imperialist wars, civil wars and economic crises, financial and social conditions in which we are immersed and became more widespread.

The contraction of capitalist production is gaining momentum across the world and so a revolution is not only possible but is underway.

Socialist revolution

The socialist revolution is not a single act, or a single battle on one front. This is an era of acute class conflicts, a long series of battles on all fronts. That is to say on all matters economic and political battles that can end only by the expropriation of the bourgeoisie. It would be a capital mistake to believe that the struggle for democracy is likely to divert the proletariat from the socialist revolution or overshadow it (Morin, 2012). Instead, just as it is impossible to design a victorious socialism that does not carry out full democracy, so the proletariat cannot prepare for the victory over the bourgeoisie if not waging a struggle of systematic and revolutionary for democracy.

Is Socialist revolution the solution?

Throughout the world, profits are down. The capitalists are forced to intensify the exploitation of the masses if they want the system to survive. If the union bureaucrats and traders liquidate the struggles, it's not because they are incompetent or cowardly, but because they adhere to the capitalist system, where they occupy the privileged position of intermediaries between capitalists and workers (Waters, 2007).

Hunger, the housing crisis and all the shortages created to coerce the workers and poor countries to tackle each other like dogs do not meet any need. International capitalism has created a global economy of such a capability where there are no shortages of jobs, and goods or services shall be justly distributed. If the global economy was liberated from the shackles of a production-oriented private sector, the profit would be plenty for all the satisfaction of human needs. But this goal can only be achieved by the international socialist revolution. We can build a socialist world without class, based on cooperation and freedom from oppression.

The rule of capitalism must be overthrown by revolutions that break the capitalist state and that will bring the working class to power (Waters, 2008). Only a disciplined and unified management of this type may allow the workers' vanguard to lead the global fight for world socialist revolution to victory.
