Introduction

The criminal justice system is a collection of practices and policies that play a vital part in upholding social control, justification of a crime and penalize those who have are guilty in a court of law. Such a system keeps law abiding citizens safe and rehabilitates criminals so they are better able to rejoin society after their sentence ends.
