Introduction

This paper is principally elucidating upon the notion that what issues do expatriates do face in different regions of the world. Considering me as the Human Resource of a multinational organization that is sending four of its expatriates to France, Russia, Singapore and Thailand; it is expected that the organization would cater to the problems that they expected to face in their respected regions.

There is various researches being conducted upon the issues of expatriates; however, the research which is put under consideration in this paper is from HSBC. The research elucidated various factors, which become major issues for expatriates around the world.

Issues of Expatriates in Different Regions

Case of France

Considering the first case, in which our first expat is going to France, there are various issues, with which (s)he would come across with. The first issue is the cultural fit. French people are not much mingling and gratified - especially in the case of American people (Jassawalla, et al. 2006). This would be a major issue that the expat would well loneliness while operating in France. (S)he would need to required enough facilitation from the company that (s)he would be able to spend the leisure time. Moreover, language is also a considerable issue, which the expat need to learn before being moved to France. This is important especially because French people do not prefer speaking French; thus, socializing in their environment would definitely require their language to communicate.

Despite of it, relationship management would also be an important issue while operating in France, because of the intrinsic nature of the French people. These are the considerable issues that our expatriate in France would might come across with.
