ABSTRACT

Smith and Tushman (2005) stated that innovation and technical change are at the core of disruptive innovations. As one looks at business analytics, and its impact on the overall strategy of the core competency of an organization, one has to take into account technological change as a major driver of an organization's fate. Smith and Tushman (2005) wrote, “We take a structural approach to assessing innovation. We develop a comprehensive set of measures to assess an innovation's locus, type, and characteristics”. Schlafke, Silvi, and Moller (2013) described business analytics as an emerging field that can potentially extend the domain of performance management research and practice. The concept of business analytics has gained a lot of value over the recent years because of the benefits it provides to IT Organizations. Business Analytics assists the organizations in developing new insights and understanding the performance management with the help of data and statistical methods. The research will focus on business analytics and technological innovation as they apply to decision making and senior management. In this research, maximum efforts will be made to explore how information technology has affected the management and strategies of various organizations. The paper will also focus upon how organizations can use information technology, in particular relevant information and data analysis, to improve their management systems. The influence of the IT would certainly improve the decisions of the management systems. Therefore, all the issues related to the topic will be discussed in detail.
