There are many companies which are trying to use this technology effectively with the help of the emergency response agencies in emergency situations.

One of the companies naming Lifesquare has recently conducted the a yearlong pilot program in which the residents are required to put their personal medication information on the web sites along with the QR code stickers. This information will be very useful for the emergency workers and in case of emergency this information can be easily obtained with the help of the QR codes. Furthermore, there are also other companies which print the security code on a tag and another company manufactures the silicon bracelets and necklaces which have QR codes and provide access to the health record of the person ( Ashford, 2010).
