Throughout the early 1800s, the Industrial Revolution drastically updated the American lifestyle. The Industrial Revolution was an era in time when individuals began to utilize machines in place of devices. This revolution that occurred altered the lives of the individuals who inhabited that time. The progressions and ideas that occurred throughout this period made the lives of the aforementioned individuals much simpler and advantageous. One of the first updates that happened was the way agriculturists took a shot at the farm. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, agriculturists planted seeds by hand. The aforementioned farmers did not need to plant seeds by hand any more when extraordinary machines were imagined to plant seeds.

Thomas Newcomer in 1712 assembled the first steam engine. His steam engine encouraged to pump water from the mines. A more propelled steam engine was developed by James Watt in 1769. This was recognized to be an extraordinary novelty as individuals had another and better wellspring of power.

During the 19th century, whaling was an enormous business in light of the fact that individuals utilized the oil from whales for warming, making cleanser, and oiling machines. Throughout this time, there were such a variety of whales utilized for oil that had it not been for another development throughout the Industrial Revolution, the whales might all have been killed off.
