Importance of Vision Statement
Introduction
Any organization which tends to establish itself needs to have a direction and set of objectives which it needs to achieve. However, those objectives tend to be established through a vision statement. It is the vision statement which defines the path an organization will take to achieve its objectives. It is the vision statement of any organization which tends to drive the organization towards a certain future. Vision statement is not only used to communicate the intentions of an organization to the consumers but it also tends to motivate the employees. It tends to portray the picture of the tomorrow which the organization tends to pull off.
However, experts tend to believe that a vision statement is important to in order to constitute a pillar on which the structure of the entire organization tends to stand upon. However, the role of the vision statement is multifaceted on one hand it tends to define the purpose of the existence of the organization but its greater role is to craft out the ways the company would adopt. The vision statement tends to act differently for different people for example it tends to have different meaning for the employees and on the same hand it tends to have a different meaning for the consumers (Stanley, 2011).
For employees it tends to frame their limits and what is expected of them. For consumers it provides the reason due to which they should collaborate with a certain organization.
