Introduction

Health care organizations are characterized by fragmentation at national, state, community, levels. No health care has a set entity or policies with in their organization; the states usually distribute their obligations between several other agencies. Furthermore, the providers who are practicing within the area and serving some of the same patients tend to work often work freely from one another (Ferrell & Coyle, 2006). Managers who work in busy healthcare institute work towards cutting cost and increasing the productivity. This may include improving areas such as technology proposal, operational and processing, and service planning. Therefore, the manager will need to have a team to help collaborate in order to successfully complete the task. It is important to have individuals who have knowledge in different backgrounds in order to overcome the challenges that are involved. This paper will discuss the steps in order to achieve the success of a project and the importance of having teams to help reach the goals.

Importance of Teams

Teams normally have members with complementary skills and generate synergy through a coordinated effort which allows each member to maximize his/her strengths and minimize his/her weaknesses. Team members need to learn how to help one another, help other team members realize their true potential, and create an environment that allows everyone to go beyond their limitations. Build the right team include stakeholders at all levels, from executives to those individuals at the front line in a health care organization. These individuals have the inside knowledge that will be critical to the success of technical experts from external health care organization. Including front-line staff allows managers to remain involved in the project, while the true end users, either clinical or nonclinical, contribute directly to the project's success, including improved healthcare operations and outcomes.
