TRUenergy HRP involves the recognition of both current and future needs of human resource and possible challenges to constantly attain objectives of an organization. Baby boomers are at present the prevalent generation of active personnel. Baby boomers recognize their strengths as organizational willingness, optimism and memory for long working hours. Generation Y is able to perform multi-task, very self-confident, skilled in technology, well educated, and have energy plenty.

The results of this study are based on HR managers' perspective of TRUenergy regarding HRP policies and practices. Both generations results signify that there is a difference between actual practices and policies of HRP. This is mainly because both generations differ in their responses towards HRP policies. Therefore, HR managers are required to formulate policies carefully after considering characteristics of these generations within organization.

This study underlines TRUenergy policies of recruitment, training and retention for baby boomers and Generation Y. HR managers design these policies after taken account of characteristics of these generations. They attempt to recruit talented employees by offering innovative and aggressive strategies. Training is essential to gain employee engagement, as well as provide career progression, so that these generations are able to keep them align with organizational objectives. Moreover, retention strategies offer flexible times of work and other intrinsic benefits to retain their employees. Such HRP policies and practices are important, as they assist organization in gaining profitability and sustainability.
