Introduction

Today, the aim of every business is to achieve competitive advantage in their particular industry. Delivering quality products and services is considered as an essential strategy for survival and success in competitive environment of toddy (Fernandez, 2011). Other than price quality is one of the important elements that play an important role in achieving competitive advantage whether it be product quality or service quality both is enhanced by the hard work of employees. Employees are considered as an essential or we can say most important asset of organization whose positive behavior towards work is very important to achieve strategic goals and objectives. One of the important ways to have positive behavior of employees towards work is Employee empowerment. Thus, in this paper we are going to discuss how empowerment affects the change quality. In other words change in behavior of employees and its impact (negative or positive) on the quality through empowerment will be discussed through a flow chart. The purpose of this paper is to let readers know about the important of empowerment in behavioral change of employees that ultimately affects quality of the business.

Employee empowerment means allowing group of people or individuals to make their own decisions on routine job functions without the approval of upper management. For example supervisors that manage small groups take their own operational decisions (Potterfield, 1999). Research states that employees can be empowered in any setting. In addition Empowerment is the process of enhancing individual or group of people's capacity to make choices and transform them into desired actions and results.

Empowerment is practiced into organizations usually to positively changes behavior of the employees that improve their performance and overall quality of the organization. Empowerment works on the psyche of people to make an impact so that they produce quality work at high level which benefits both themselves and organizations (Potterfield, 1999). Research shows that customer oriented service behavior is exhibited by empowered employees because they possesses more capability and elasticity to match the changeable needs of customers (Sturdy, 2001). Research also shows that consumer quality perceptions are totally depended on the quality behaviors of employees. Consequently, empowered employees would present flexible and appropriate behaviors towards customers because of which service quality perceptions of employees can be improved through the service behaviors of customer contact employees.
