The antibiotics, wormers, parasites in the equines, the situation the equines are in when slaughtered, etc… these all sway the beef humans eat. Iacquiesce, humans need the protein from beef but we do consume sufficient animals, pigs, sheep, dairy cows, chickens, turkeys, deer, fish. Horses are slaughtered in the most inhumane way possible. It doesn't start at the slaughterhouses, it starts long before that. Most of the equines are thieved or bought from measly equine sales jam crammed with murdered buyers. Horses swap hands and end up in a waiting pen for the trailer to take them away. No water or nourishment, a minute space where they can't turn around. Many horses are lame, sick or in horrendous condition, of all sizes and ages, from the noblest old horse to the youngest newborn (Lau, 2009).
