Overview

Homelessness - in terms of sociological - a social problem ( a social phenomenon ), characterized by a lack of permanent residence (the absence of the house ). Homelessness in terms of psychological is a crisis of existence the state of a person not having actual place of residence, devoid of resources needed to meet basic needs, permanently uprooted from the environment as a result of social breakdown and accepting their role in society. As a condition of the evident and permanent deprivation of housing needs, in a situation where the person affected by homelessness can not be prevented, is associated with severe mental and social functioning of people.

Nature of homelessness excludes closed and unambiguous classification of the causes, because it leads to a whole team of overlapping driving forces, the team attitudes, behaviors, personality predisposition, which contribute to social situations and functioning of social services.

Reasons for homelessness
