Social Isolation

            People are omitted when they are not part of the systems which support most persons in commonplace life - systems of family, associates, community and employment. Among numerous other ones, poor persons, ex-prisoners, homeless persons, persons with AIDS, persons with discovering disabilities or psychiatric patients might all be said to be at risk of exclusion. This is a very very broad concept: it encompasses not only deprivation, but difficulties of communal connections, encompassing stigma, communal isolation and flops in communal defence ...
