The aim of this paper is to discuss the principles of the health care and social practices and to demonstrate the impact of the legislation and policies on the health care practises. This paper will also suggest the recommendations required to make the clinical practises better in the light of the theories regarding this topic.

The Implication of Principles in Clinical and Social Care Practises

The services that are being provided in the profession of the primary health care and also in the essential social care practises are the primary requirement in order to fulfil the conditions and terms of the oriented points in the policies. There are several principles which are implied in the health and social care practices which include the respect of the individual's dignity, followed by the responsibility to shape and take care of the individuals needs. Apart from this, the realization of the individual's dignity in terms of the values and culture, consideration of the personal care when providing the health care service and the preventing the development of such issues that may violate the dignity of the person being cared are also the primary principles that are involved in the personal health care and social care by the clinical experts (Lymbery, 2006, p.1119).

1.2 Protection of Clients and Patients from Harm

The protection of the clients and the patients along with the protection of the clinical staff is one of the most necessary parts of health and social care practices. There are several steps in the procedure of protecting the clients:

Firstly the staff or the professional must be honest and must be able to gain the trust of the patient by all terms and means.

The clients should never be abused, and staff should act with integrity.

There should be a proper training and practice to keep the clients safe from the risk as well as the training should involve the safety of the staff also.

The staff should realize and should operate within the boundaries of the work they are subjected to, and any problem should be consulted with the senior.

The staff should maintain and make the professional knowledge better.

Staff should make sure that the practices of health and social care may not put the client at the risk.

The staff should make the patients and clients away from any of the environmental dangers that can pose a threat to the health of the patients (Gale, 2009, p.14).
