Introduction

Ten years ago, people used to open books, dictionaries and other similar things to get information or knowledge about anything. But Google has changed the way we used to live our lives. Google is one of the revolutionary technologies that brought a great change in our lives (Hachman, 2008). Google's search engine is one of the greatest technologies of the world. There are many technologies of Google that have revolutionized the technological world (Hachman, 2008). Google tablet, Google mapping, Google edition, Google's Gmail, Google chrome, Google books and now the most credible technologies of Google are its self driving the car and Google glass (Hachman, 2008).

Google's Self Driving Car

In the year 2009, cars caused deaths of around 30000 people in United States. Cars released greenhouse gases of around 6.6 million metric tons in the year 2009 (Kotermanski, 2012). After 2009, many developments were made in order to create less time consuming, fuel efficient and safer cars. This technology includes methods of computer aided warning and driving features (Kotermanski, 2012). Loss of focus and concentration and affinity of mistakes of human has caused many problems in spite of a couple of developments in the technology of cars. The solution to these problems is made possible by Google by developing self driving car (Kotermanski, 2012).

Components Of Self Driving Car

This car is equipped with a series of sensors that are used to read physical data from its surroundings. Theses sensors copy all the human senses. Video cameras act as human eyes in order to collect visual data like traffic lights (Kotermanski, 2012). Without touching the surrounding objects, radar and laser pulses are used for determining the distance of the car by obtaining the data points. Pulses of laser systems measures the distance by estimating the time that the laser beams take to strike the object and come back. LIDAR covers a wide radius of laser beams (Kotermanski, 2012). Similarly, Radars use radio waves in order to detect the altitude, range, speed and direction of the surrounding objects. Gyroscopes and position sensors are used in order to accomplish the orientation sense of car (Kotermanski, 2012). The combination result of GPS, position sensors and gyroscopes provides the proper representation and position of the car. It is also equipped with the technology of vehicle-to-vehicle communication (Kotermanski, 2012).

Self driving the car will provide benefits of safety, less time consuming and fuel efficiency. The car will replace the human's an inefficient way of driving and will provide safe driving as compared to today's mundane and dangerous driving (Kotermanski, 2012).
