Introduction

This essay is based on the Globalization & International Business. My hypothetical software company is Galaxy Tech which is planning for international business expansion. It is a American company which is listed on stock exchanges globally. Galaxy Tech is planning to enter the Chinese and Indian market. There are several software companies which are a part of international market and their products are being sold in the internationally in different countries. Some of the most prominent brands and companies which are playing internationally include Microsoft, Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Unilever, Procter and Gamble and many more companies. Their products are being sold and used worldwide by people, and have become a part of their daily lives. This is because the companies have been able to serve their customers with the best quality products, following all the regulations, laws and policies.

The software industry is characterized by the development of new products and applications, creation of new markets and processing of business models. Companies in this sector belong to a new generation of entrepreneurs.

It is noted that before 10 or fifteen years, global business was majorly operated by giant companies only. However, small and medium business focused their concentration on local markets in which they operate or operated one or two neighboring countries. But now, even small businesses have realized the importance global presence. Now a day, a large number of companies are effectively competing in global markets (Ruokolainen, 2004).

Analysis of International Market for Galaxy Tech

Globalization has allowed industries and organizations to become a part of the international market. It has provided them with an opportunity to make their products and goods available in the international market, which has resulted in forming a strong customer base. Now companies have customers in different countries, which have resulted in improving sales of products. By having a strong customer base, Galaxy Tech can have take advantage and as a result it can expand its market share in Indian and Chinese software industry (Gavlen, 2003).

The design and production of software can contribute to the structural transformation of the economy of the country. Through this, Galaxy Tech can also encourage learning, innovation and job creation, especially for young people with qualifications. In addition, markets are becoming more attractive for software developers in developing countries. Procurement related to e-Government is a major source of domestic demand. According to estimates, the area of ??mobile applications has reported between 15 and 20 billion globally, and this amount could rise to $38 billion by 2014. Therefore, this reflects that there is a huge opportunity for Galaxy Tech in Indian and Chinese markets.

The main benefits for Galaxy Tech in China are tax rebates, cost effective research and development activities, huge customer base, and friendly government policies.
