Economic globalization is producing multiple effects on environmental sustainability. The interactions are so many and so complex it would be too simplistic to say that these are areas conflicting. Furthermore there are no theoretical reasons and empirical evidence or conclusive enough to demonstrate that the relationship between globalization and environmental sustainability is unique sign (Marcotullio, 2001).
