Global Warming

Executive Summary

The paper analyzes the global warming situation prevailing at present time. Global warming is the most fundamental issue to planet earth for today. Earth's atmosphere is exposed to ever surging level of carbon and other green house gases every day. Global warming has been the topic of discussion for many governments and scientists because of the consequences it can have on the planet Earth. The method used in this research paper is Qualitative Research Design. It is a fact that not only does the scientists disputes the asserted crises of global warming however; such skeptical scientists might indeed form a scientific consensus. Just 36% of the engineers and geoscientists believe that humans are creating global warming crisis, as according to the survey that has been reported in peer-revives organization studies. In spite of the arguments for and against global warming being as strong as each other, it can be analyzed that global warming is clearly one of the most studied and argued scientific topics to date, with the future of the planet being at stake.

Global Warming

Introduction

It is a known that the in the 21st century, environmental issues and ethics are one of the major concerns for humanity. This is also becoming evident that the field of sociology can be beneficial in raising awareness regarding the environmental issues and the necessary measures which can reduce or mitigate these problems (Graeger, 1996).

Global warming is the most fundamental issue to planet earth for today. Earth's atmosphere is exposed to ever surging level of carbon and other green house gases every day. McKibben (2012) compares the twentieth century temperature changes with that of the nineteenth century temperature changes and pre-industrial times. McKibben (2012) demonstrates that the era post 1980 is found to have massive climatic changes and weather extremes of all times. McKibben (2012) quotes the increase in storm intensity tracked by the US insurance industry that quotes storm insurance claims which exceeded US$ 1 billion per year.

Significance of the study

Global warming has become a medical problem. Examining the medical implications of climate change is an important new role for the community. In spite of the arguments for and against global warming being as strong as each other, it can be analyzed that global warming is clearly one of the most studied and argued scientific topics to date, with the future of the planet being at stake. The amount of research on the subject presents data that can continually prove that global warming does exist (www.fas.org).

On the other hand the skeptics have also discovered evidence to prove otherwise. Is global warming real; the answer here lies in how much of the presented evidence is real or not. It can be concluded that global warming is coming, if it is not already ...
