Gender Differences in US Corporate Leadership: Do Women Lead Differently
Over the decades, female population throughout the world is considered and stereotyped as being dependant, submissive and compatible and hence they are known to have less of leaderships and several other qualities that are sought through by different individuals for over a consistent period of time (Kenneth, 2006). On the other hand male leadership is said to be of great importance and reliability merely because of the fact that their command and control over public and social sectors of the community are dominated and expressed more (Kenneth, 2006).
What is leadership?
Leadership is a quality that is seen as a proper process through which leaders assure mobilization and engagement of human workforce that are following them by all means (Kenneth, 2006). It is about recognition of responsibility and changing the thought provoking styles of different ideologies in conformations.
Involvement of gender differentiation
For the past couple of years, gender differences in political leaderships all over the globe especially in US Corporate, have been the topic of deliberation and it is intensely discussed in the fields of political organizations (Den, 1999). The reason behind this is the existence of inherent differences which both the genders imply to their political theories once they are in charge of an association (Den, 1999). The question 'do women lead differently?' has also been a matter of focus because researchers are trying to find a suitable explanation as to why there have been so few women leaders. Even though women in the sectors of US workforce and management share a considerably larger fair but they still don't hold a proportional share of top administrative positions in such affiliations which is duly noticeable (Den, 1999).
