Sweeney Todd film is a horror musical film that demonstrates the melodramatic tale. Benjamin Barker alias Sweeney Todd is English Barber along with that a serial killer, who used to murder his customers with straight razors. His co-conspirator, Mrs. Lovett, use those dead bodies into the meat pies.

What cultural values do this film show? Do you agree or disagree with those values? Explain your answer.

Being a melodramatic tale, Sweeney Todd film, depicts the value of revenge in the English Culture. As a matter of fact, I do not agree with the concept of revenge as it creates a vicious circle of evil that is detrimental for the whole society. However, this film is a melodramatic tale and not a real story, in that case its acceptability can be justified, otherwise from a societal point of view, I do not agree with it.

The barber Benjamin Barker is married to a beautiful lady, Lucy, in the Victorian London. The couple has a cute child named Johanna. The attractiveness of Lucy gains the attention of a corrupt judge, Turpin, who make a conspiracy against the barber and accuses him of a crime which he did not do and also abuses the Lucy at later stages.
