Introduction

Fashion industry, an important aspect of the modern age saw a sudden rise in the 20th century with the rise of technologies like the sewing machine and the development of the factories that made production of apparel possible. With the proliferation of apparel stores, clothing is now produced in standard sizes and prices. The fashion industry has its origins in Europe and America, but today the industry is globally recognized with designs made in one region, production in the other and the final product is demanded worldwide (Roger, 2012). The factories have been reported to be providing employment on a large scale. This has declined recently as most of the production processes are now being shifted to other countries like China. This industry on an overall rating scale is a significant contributor to the economic output of the world. The fashion industry is divided into four levels. The first of which is the production in which raw materials like textiles, leather and fur are produced. The latter stage is the designing of apparels in which teams of fashion designers sit together and identify the best means of coming up with different clothing accessories (www.wisegeek.org). Then comes the sales part, in which the products are sent, and sold worldwide. The last level is to make sure that the product reaches everyone through marketing and advertising efforts.
