The disaster has had a major impact on the community living in New Orleans for centuries. It is a fact that concerned authorities have failed to respond to the critical situation. Now, it is the hard time that each and everyone should focus on how to reduce the potential risks in the wake of the disaster.

Nowadays, disasters are growing and causing high impact on the nation and its people. A disaster is caused because of the change in climate and over-consumption of natural resources. The revolution in the world's climate has generated many kinds of threatening natural phenomena. Another major cause of disasters is the rapid growth of the economy, in which technology has increased the production capabilities, together with the multiplicity of population.

Discussion

In order to prevent the disasters occurring in the province of New Orleans, it is important to get the support of the local people or others affected by these disasters. The target group of this program includes citizens, patients in the hospital, students, tourists in resorts and tourist entrepreneurs. The authority responsible for the mitigation program has assigned various tasks to separate units in order to make the target group aware of the disaster, its feasible precautions and to generate the support of the target group for the mitigation plan.
