Introduction

Over time, the world has progressed in the numerous fields, including the advancement in technology. The growth has both good and adverse impacts on men. The inventions of atomic weapons cause insecurities among the human beings. It also has divided the world into two parts; the developed and the developing states. In order to ensure the security and progress of Europe the 27 states of Europe has created their union, called as European Union (EU). A treaty is legislated for the union. The Treaty of European union is resolute to put the foundation of closer bounding among the European Nations. The economic and social growth of member states is ensured by common action to reduce any problem. It also ensures the improvement in the living and standards for the people of Europe; it further maintains the balance in trading and fair competition. This treaty also emphasizes on the strengthening of their unity by reducing the differences. European Union desires to abolish the restrictions on the international trade. Thus, they preserve their resources and fortify peace and liberty in their reign. Most of all promote the access of quality education for their people.

Background and History of EU

The Treaty of Function of European union appears as a complete foundation that, promises of growth and progress of members countries. Some political strategy makes think otherwise. They indicate the problem that may arise after EU, that balancing the power of European Union against the sovereignty of the members states. According to them, the European

Union has emerged as the global force, but if it controls the nationalistic and patriotic mode of its independent member states. They evaluate the development of the European Union from its starting till the present day. The result shows the advancement of two federal systems, USA and Germany. They use Germany as an example because it went under the process of unifying sovereign state less than one federal government; thus, its reason of its presence in EU is understood. Whereas, the example of USA, to show its progression into a federal government in 1774 to 1787.

The basic approach of EU was to have a political organization, in which all the power would be divided into central government and the members' states. All the states would have right to use the power for the right matter, and all of the rules would be applied on citizen body. That is no way an easy task for the independent countries of Europe to hand over their rights to a central government. The history shows that unity emerged due to the resistance movement in Europe during 1940s. After the cold war, the need to this unity was felt immensely.
