The following paper is based on the analysis of the relationship between ethics and professional behavior in the administration of criminal justice. Professionalism The best way to get proper understanding and demonstration of the notion of professionalism is to imagine the occupation on the basis of the different characteristics. Thus, the extent to which a profession fulfills the criteria of a occupation, it should be reviewed by calculating the occupation on certain definite uniqueness. The advantage of studying the profession on the basis of its characteristics is that the individuals could be judged easily as per their compatibility in relation to their characteristics and qualities of professionalism. Some of the characteristics are highlighted on which professionalism in criminal justice based on;

Principles for practice, ethical conduct and entry

Professional understanding to keep proper association

Believe in continuous and lifelong learning

Generally it has been observed that many people puzzle professionalism with picture of the officer who is normally fresh and cold by showing no feelings and having a crunchy uniform, reflective glasses with shined shoes and using modern expertise to fight against criminals (Kleinig, 2008). That is generally the perception and image in the mind of the public because such image portrayed in the movies and plays. However, the research shows that appearance matters sometimes but it is not the sole characteristic of being a professional.

Professional Model for Criminal Justice

The professionals working in the criminal justice system; there professionalism is judged on how public is better served by not violating the ethical conduct. Similarly, effective in problem solving and due to this getting stronger community respect and support. Therefore, this leads to stronger role in the criminal justice system by bringing innovations to the department (Sagepub, 2004). Ethical role in criminal justice system is very much critical, thus, ethical dilemmas in criminal justice system are mentioned.

Many public and private concerns regarding ethical conduct centers around our own values. Every human aspect revolves around personal values but the values are not easily achieved nor defined.
