Ethics and Code of Conduct

Introduction

In the business world, and particularly in the conduct of a business, the implementation of a strategy, the omission of relevant information or misinformation, can be economically beneficial. Indeed, one could say that a business has been good not only because both parties have benefited but because one has taken full advantage. It could establish a good business in the moral sense, is bad business in the economic sense, since in the moral sense is looking for a sincere beneficial agreement for both parties, and in the economic sense is sought out an advantage from the point given the expectation of faced with these conflicting positions, we need to make a stop along the way, we reflect on our actions as professionals in business administration, self-critical and we issue a judgment by which we can establish a strong position in any of the two poles, we define as ethical professionals, or the opposite (Boatright, 2008).

Discussion

Ethics is an ideal of human conduct, which guides each person about what is right, what is wrong and what one should do, understanding one life relationship with others, in search of the common good. Ethics in the workplace not only guide decision making (what I do) but also the process that follows after the decision (how I do).

In his performance, each individual has his own pattern of values, so it is need everyone to do their own thinking, a way to reconcile their behaviors with corporate values, Code of Conduct and Ethics Business, strategic objectives, the internal rules of the Company and applicable law. While the use of "we" in this Code refers to the obligation to adhere to standards of conduct of the ECG Group of Companies, each employee is individually responsible for adhering to these standards. 

Ethical Objectives

For all Company employees, regardless of position or occupying role, as well as those who are performing tasks with the Company for a specific period or specific work, the code Conduct and Ethics has the following objectives: - Be a formal referral and institutional and personal behavior professional.

Make viable ethical behavior based on corporate values.

Reduce the subjectivity of personal interpretations on moral and ethical principles.

Strengthen the identity and image of the ECG Group of Companies in relationship with its stakeholders (Cahn, 2009).

Ethical Principles

The livelihood of the Code of Conduct and Ethics is honesty, dignity, respect, loyalty, dedication, efficiency, transparency and conscience to guide the behavior of those who make up the ECG. Thus, the Company aims to address increasing levels of competitiveness, profitability and social responsibility, the latter comprising the valuation of employees, health, safety, the environment and contributing to the regions where it operates its business.
