The statement of Ethics for Counselling and Psychotherapy issued by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy combines and substitute all the codes and principles for trainers, counsellors and supervisors. These principles and codes are also considered valid and can be applied for the utilization of counselling skills, counselling researches and the management of counselling and therapies within organizations. The statement issued by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy aims to inform and direct the practices of each member of the association (BACP, 2013a). In relation to the statement of Ethics for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the following paper will discuss the ethical dilemma I am facing, as in my opinion I have violated the ethical principles laid down by the association.
Definition of the Terms in Statement
The term practitioner in the statement is used to refer in a generic manner to each and every person involved in provision of services related to counselling and psychotherapy. Anyone assuming the role of trainer, counsellor, supervisor, psychotherapist, counsellor, researcher, manager of counselling services and the providers of these services are included or covered under the definition of practitioner in the statement. Likewise the term client is used in a generic manner to refer to every person who is recipient of such services (BACP, 2013a). However, in accordance with the customs and context, the term client and practitioner may be substituted by other terms.

Moreover, in the discussion we also agreed a date for my review, as I was close to complete my 50 hours of counselling. We agreed a tutorial for the 6 June at 11.30 am, in which Hogan asked me to bring the following documents:
Client log/s
Supervision log/s;
End of counselling sheets
Reflective diary
At the meeting I provided all of this paperwork, and I found the meeting very informative and have adopted some of his suggestions. At the meeting, I also asked to book another date with him for the review which was scheduled for August, six months after my last review. I told him that as I my 50 hours of counselling are about to complete in the coming days and I requested to have a review before August. He asked me how many hours I had already completed by 6 June 2012, at tutorial discussion. I provided him the details that I have completed 43 hours and I also mentioned that I was anticipating to complete my 50 hours on 28 June 2012.
We discussed when my next review was scheduled which was August six ...
