Class profile: Class of 20 learners, friendly, well-motivated but needs a lot of speaking practice.

Context:

This unit provides the information about surviving in Australia and New Zealand.

Teaching Point:

The language system is English. Functions of obligation and permission e.g. can, should, must have to, and allowed to.

The target skills are speaking, writing, , and listening.

Target language items:

Basic level grammar and vocabulary of English.

Main lesson aims/learner objectives:

Learners should be able to demonstrate sufficient skills in English, so that they may be able to survive in the Australia or New Zealand. Skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening should be developed in the learners.

Evidence:

Learners can explain how to survive in Australia and New Zealand, and request using formal register appropriately in the role play.

Teacher's aims/personal goals:

I want student to speak more to each other and to concentrate on their listening ability. This will help them to learn the proper system of the listening activity.

Assumptions/assumed knowledge:

There are different terms like, tramping, different cultural aspects. This is also provided that these are also a problem area for the students. There are various systems of the assumption of the activities for the studies.

Predicted/anticipated problems:

The students will face difficulty in understanding the Unit as it contains some words that might not be easy for them.
