Emergency Response Plan

Introduction

An earthquake or earthquake is the result of sudden release of energy accumulated by the stresses on the rocks. The result of the breakdown of surface rocks is called a fault. The location of the broken rocks in depths is called home. Less common are earthquakes caused by volcanic activity or of artificial origin (e.g. explosions). Numerous earthquakes happen every day, but most are not felt by humans. Approximately, one hundred thousand earthquakes are recorded each year on the planet. This paper is discussing the earthquakes hazards and its consequences in California.

1. Selecting a community, district, State, or business/organization for your session-long project

For this case we have chosen California as the state and will be creating an Emergency Response Plan for the city. California law guarantees Emergency Response Plan as a comprehensive framework for the State of California and it is the structure through which the state manages emergency situations and mishaps. It represents initial responsibilities that must be performed by government, private and non-governmental companies that consist of the State Emergency Response Reaction Group/Team (SERT). The framework includes a Primary Strategy, which represents the process for determination, response, restoration and minimization actions of the SERT. The CEMP guarantees that all levels of government are able to muster as a specific emergency company to protect the well-being of the state's people and guests (Armitage, 2005).

The magnitude of earthquakes in California is generally 5.5. However, the frequency of the hazards is too much. The seasonal factor is 9/54 a year.
