The testimonial I have chosen here for discussion is by Jane Bullock. In her testimonial, she mentions the importance of FEMA as the best emergency management system. I agree with her views as for every organization management it is necessary that the leadership should play a prominent role. At FEMA, the political leadership was nonexistent at first, but by after the leadership of Clinton came into existence, FEMA was understood and given the importance. The management was changed, and the employees there understood the mission of the organization. James Lee Witt brought emergency members along with him who helped to train and understand the role of employees. Since, today the leadership and politics understand the importance of FEMA; therefore, they acknowledge the emergency management services it is providing in case of various issues existing (Drabek, 2006).

Earthquake Hazards

The earthquake is a great risk to the living beings on earth and the environment as it lays a huge impact on the living environment. The agencies should continuously monitor the risk of earthquake and prepare the plan for successful measurement and minimization of threat.

Volcano Hazards

The volcanoes are capable of producing numerous geologic and hydrologic hazards. Scientists in the U.S. Geological Survey States (USGS) and other institutions around the world are studying the dangers of many of the hundreds of active and potentially active volcanoes in the world.

Landslide Hazards

To determine the extent of landslide hazard requires identifying those areas that could be affected by a damaging landslide and assessing the probability of occurrence in a given, period of time. However, it is difficult to specify a time period for the occurrence of a slip, even under ideal conditions (Haddow, George, Jane, 2003).
