Effects of Slavery
There are no significant effects on slavery in the shorter time span because it had greater influences on societies in the long run. Scholars find that trade of slaves has a significant impact upon the economic growth cycle of the country. It ultimately undermines the local economies due to production of slave goods in the market. The political stability was also disturbed in the long run with the shipment of labors to overseas would result in the secular wars and anti-slave movements. Trading of slaves encouraged the formation of larger ethnic group which caused ethnic fractionalization. This fractionalization disturbs the political formation and state governance which carries higher influence on the economic development. With the increase in trading of slaves, conflict increased within communities because of the general environment and uncertainty at that time. Social environment was badly impacted through migration of slaves.
