Introduction

It has been observed that most of the trainers or teacher put their entire efforts to affirm the development of skills and intellectual ability of their students. In general, the creative and successful teaching requires great expertise in the area of patience. The process of education for such students can be challenged because autism, mental retardation and severe disabilities issues are not easy to tackle. The curriculum plan of teachers usually implement through some particular services, policies, and programs that are important to ensure successful education for students. The paper is aimed to define intellectual disability that hinders between the successes of students who require special needs.

Discussion Analysis

It is a tough task to train the typical child who has the better capability to grip over the concepts in an effective manner. On the other hand, the task for teaching children with disabilities could be even more challenging than teaching a typical student. There are various kinds of disabilities a child might have as it is not only limited to intellectual disability, autism, multiple disabilities, and severe disabilities.

Intellectual disability denotes to the sub average general intellectual functioning that exists parallel insufficiency in adaptive behavior which negatively affect on the educational performance. This type of functioning usually takes place before the age of 18. It has been researched by AAIDD that cause of intellectual disability can cause maternal infection, for example, toxoplasmosis, syphilis, and rubella. Moreover, it can also cause intoxications such as environmental hazards, drugs, incompatible blood, alcohol; gestation disorders; chromosomal abnormalities; metabolic and nutritional factors and postnatal brain disease. It has been observed that economic, cultural and environment disadvantages also lead to intellectual disability.

Autism is a permeant developmental disorder which is distinguished by grave deficits in social communication and interaction. It has a limited space of interests and activities and usually falls by the occurrence of stereotyped and stereotyped behaviors. As per the definition of Autism Society of America, this disease is mainly consisted by the disturbance of growth sequence, speech, reaction to sensory stimuli, language and cognitive abilities that transmit to objects, events, and people (2000). The causes of autism are not entirely defined but it has been observed that most of the adult remains dependent require specialist or their families for support. After certain age period, children face behavioral difficulties that usually result from the inability of children to understand or effectively use language and gain obsessional behaviors from their ritualistic. Most of the authorities say that autism causes are not completely known but it suggested the genetic and biological factors might lead to this disorder (Szatmari, 1992).

Severe disabilities are those disorders that are conventionally known to the cognitive impairments. This disorder expands the understanding about the disability that it could affect an individual on a minimal scale to the severe one.
