ABSTRACT
In this study we will try to examine, acording to International law does the Kurdish have right to proclaim for secession. The main focus of the research is on, are the Kurds justified in claiming that they are a 'nation of people' and what are the Kurds problems in Turkey, Iran and Syria and solution in International Law. The research also analyzes that, can Kosovo be as a case law for Kurdistan to follow and tries to gauge its effect on Legality of use of force to achieve the Self-determination. This work sets out to primarily concentrate on the current situation within Iraq; Turkey and Iran where Kurdish people are concentrated. We will also argue within this project that the basis for a functioning Kurdish state already exists, in terms of the development of the free Kurdish area in Iraq.

Background of the Research
This research project will examines the case for Kurdistan (the northern part of Iraq which is currently and effectively controlled and governed by Kurdish political parties and armed forces) to proclaim secession and become an independent state and recognised in international law. This work sets out to primarily concentrate on the current situation within Iraq; Turkey and Iran where Kurdish people are concentrated. (Talmon 1992, 231)
