Introduction

Diversity in students has increased in recent years, the biggest challenge faced by teachers and teacher educators is to educate a nation with racially, ethnically and linguistically diverse children. In some of the nations this percentage of multicultural students has increased the percentage of White students. In comparison, 85% of education graduates and 90% public schools are represented by the White teachers. This demographic disparity between teachers and students has developed an increased attention towards the implementation of multicultural competency and multicultural teaching strategies (Tulman & Watts, 2008).
