Background

The water dispenser business in Nigeria is emerging. Most of the households, offices and the educational institutions are using water of the dispensers. There are many companies in Nigeria which deal in Water Dispenser business. CWAY is one such company which has taken the lead in this business. CWAY and some other companies are facing one big problem regarding their business, which is related to the water bottles or cans. The water bottles or cans are an important part of the dispenser business. Most of the customers refill the bottles after the initial consumption. It has been found by many researches on this area that most of the water bottles are damaged by the customers before they are returned for the refill. As the water dispenser business deals with the refilling of the bottles, the companies are facing a lot of problems and incurring the losses because most of the water bottles are damaged in the process of refilling. Similarly, the customers are also worried about this phenomenon as they also have to pay the price in some cases for the water bottles.

There is a greater need that this problem should be tackled quite efficiently because this will be greatly harmful for the companies engaged in the water dispenser business. Moreover, the customers will also face difficulties if the water bottles continue to damage. The damage of water bottles in the water dispenser is not a new phenomenon ,the water dispenser businesses has been facing this problem from a long time but now this issue need to be resolved. Businesses today have diverted their focus from stringent arduousness towards quality to a focus on innovation. This change in stance does not iterate in any way that the fundamentals of ascertaining quality are replaced with newer concepts. Rather concepts to promote innovation is streamlined with the tools and concepts promoted in total quality management (Babbie,1990). These assortments of focuses essentially helps organization profit and sustain their business enterprises, furthermore it resonates with appreciation from customer, who finds themselves satisfied and looking for more

The Purpose of this Research

I choose to do the research this topic because due to the damage of water bottles, the companies engaged in the water dispenser business have to incur a lot of losses. As the water bottles in the water dispenser business are very important, if the water bottles will not be available the people will not get water on time. Similarly, there will also be adverse impact on the production and supply of the water. The water which is used in the dispensers reaches the customers in the form of water bottles so if the water bottles will be damaged then the overall operations of the business will be affected.
