Evidence-based practice is an effective strategy which is used in order to provide the best and quality services to the patients and the people associated with them. An essential feature of this practice is that it is based on evidence, and assists in decreasing the uncertainty and ambiguity experienced by both the health care professionals and the patients. The term mainly emerged during the 1980s, and the health care professionals started to realize its importance in the decision making processes (Melnyk et. al, 2011).
