Introduction
Nursing is a prime profession in the healthcare system. It involves the diagnosis, planning and delivery of nursing care services to patients. For quality care provision, nurses are trained and educated to assist healthcare providers in alleviating the suffering as well as preventing illness or any injury. American Nurses Association`s proposed definition of nursing is “Nursing are the optimization, promotion and protection of abilities and the well being, prevention of injury and illness, and the advocacy regarding care of individuals, families, communities as well as the populations ” (ANA, 2010). Several phenomenon and philosophies allied to the nursing discipline have been developed with the aim of promoting safety and quality care provisions to patients. The central objective of the nursing profession, in the healthcare system, is to enhance the relationship with patients and to diversify their communications by making use of available nursing knowledge.

The nursing discipline has undergone many transitions. Therefore, it possesses a strong historical background. Nursing has encompassed various substantial theories. Florence Nightingale, a well-known pioneer in the discipline of nursing, emphasized on two factors in nursing which included basics of nursing and nurse relationship with patients.
