Abstract

This assignment will have a detail analysis of doing e-business, e-commerce or e-marketing. It will analyse an e-marketing business of www.downlaod.com which will be owned by me. The purpose of this e-marketing is to create awareness about the use of software in your personal computers, working systems and in the organization. The website will provide a free access of downloading software in order to install in the system. The medium I opted for my e-marketing business is through developing our own websites. This assignment will investigate the contents that are essential in order to develop a website, it will also emphasize on finding out the goals of the websites, and how they can create competition and the difference it brings in the progress of your business. The assignment will lay out the plan or steps that need to be followed before designing the website, as what objectives will the website be able to achieve, what will be the target market, who will be the competitors and it will also analyse as how much cost will be involved in launching a website. It will also examine the features that should be included in a website so that it can result in the effectiveness and the success of the business.

Introduction

World has turned into a technological village where every country is trying to take benefits from using different aspects of the technology. One of the growing aspect is to do businesses through internet like e-commerce, e-business, e-marketing and mobile marketing. According to Dann, (2011, pp.4-5), e-marketing is an activity that needs internet in order to market its products or services to the world. It is a way of marketing, advancing and mechanizing the internet in order to do marketing of the products. E-Marketing involves the use of technology to make people aware about the products and services available in the market. The major breakthrough that came in the internet marketing was in 1990 when the internet moved from a private network used government, military and other officials to the general public of the world. In 1990 World Wide Web made its entry into the world with its web server software. The commercial use of the Internet was started in 1995 but the first business used website collapsed and was not able to work. The business websites worked on its weaknesses and over the years developed better business sites that can be used for commercial and non-commercial purposes. The most face marketing websites today include: Facebook and MySpace.

According to Gay, (2007, pp.6-7), e-marketing is to use internet or other interactive technologies to achieve the marketing objectives of a business. E- Marketing cover three major aims which includes: first to use marketing strategies in order to create customer value through market segmentation, product differentiation, product positioning and the target market, second is to execute and develop the promotion, pricing and distribution of the goods and services; and third aim is to satisfy the customers and achieve the business ...
