The business of the organization in question is related to the manufacturing and selling of furniture. The furniture business is one of the most important businesses online. However, furniture sales have been declining over past few years. Various factors like reduced disposable income and changes in customer tastes and preferences have impacted the trends in furniture business. Opting for online furniture business is considered because of the capabilities of the organization for dealing with the requirements of running a digital business. Providing consumers with attractive furniture layouts through eye catching online catalogues will be the main source of information to the customers about the furniture business.

A website will be developed and maintained effectively for the purpose of conducting the online business. However, before the development of website, it is extremely important to focus on the target market and their relevant requirements. Target market is basically the audience the business wants to attract and make sales to. The target market of our online furniture business is the families which are planning to move into new houses or have plans to refurnish their homes. Moreover, our target market tends to spend their spare time either shopping online or decorating their homes through refurnishing. The basic influencers of our target market are their spouses and friends. The motivation to keep their homes beautiful through furnishing makes our target marker competitive amongst the friends and family. The size of our target market is huge enough to make our business profitable. Our target market also includes who have been previously using online furniture markets. Economic factors do influence the target market because furniture is seen as a luxury when people do not have enough money to feed their families.
