Most cities in the today global world have to position themselves in a unique, innovative and fulfilling space to create their identity of living, travelling and investing. In order to compete with other cities of the today's global world, Vancouver must innovate and reorganize its cultural hubs and cultural tourism destinations. In order to compete with the global world, tourism with other Pacific Coast gateway cities with new business and investment is required for Vancouver.
Winter games 2010 and the international attention to Vancouver have raised an unprecedented opportunity for our community to build a lasting impression of Vancouver around the world and bring its unique phase to the world. With two years until the games, our community has the time to highlight the cultural diversity and cultural vibrancy of Vancouver in the best way, as it is the right time to build Vancouver and give a presentable view to the potential viewers from all around the world. Our community has got a real opportunity to come together and raise the awareness of increasing Vancouver's strong cultural identity and cultural tourism destination. However, it is true thaty this task can not be accomplished all alone by a single organization or agency or government. Therefore, to maximize the cultural tourism destination and cultural identity of Vancouver, it is required to have strong partnership with Tourism Vancouver and with a 30 member Advisory Committee. This Advisory committee includes leader from different tourism and cultural communities. This article focuses to develop the strategy for increasing Vancouver's cultural tourism identity under the collective vision of the following group. Cultural offerings have been developed, promoted and implemented strategically through partnerships between tourism and cultural sectors.

The increase of revenue generation from Vancouver's tourism and the increase tourist audiences is aimed at cultural tourism strategy which focuses that higher yield cultural tourists shall be attracted, and vast cultural resources of Vancouver shall be utilized to encourage the average tourist to extend their stay in Vancouver.
